PARTICIPANTS AND CONSUMERS

Pharmacists

Thank you for your interest in the ASPIRE trial.

This trial is recruiting people admitted to a participating hospital who are 45 years and over who meet screening criteria and are assessed by the research pharmacist as being at risk of medication harm and could benefit from a medication review after discharge from hospital. Participation in the study is entirely voluntary.

WHAT IS A MEDICATION REVIEW?

Medication reviews are services provided by GPs and accredited pharmacists to check that a person’s medicines are safe and appropriate. A medicine review can help make sure your medicines are safe and working well. The services are funded by the Australian Government for eligible people. You do not need to be part of this trial to be eligible for a medication review. If you think you may benefit from one, ask your GP.

Check out these factsheets for more information about medication reviews.
